We exist for one simple moral purpose - to unlock academic and personal potential.
We want our children to have a love and passion for learning, aspire and become all and more than they ever thought they could be. By developing high-performing schools that raise aspirations, inspire learning, build character and cultural capital, and power social mobility, our students can thrive and make a difference in their communities and the world.
Our family has grown to 15 schools delivering excellent education to 10,000 children aged two to 18, driven by 1,300 committed, inspiring and talented staff. Underpinned by five shared values, we work collaboratively to achieve our moral purpose.
We want to support more schools by welcoming them to be part of the WAT family.

Our culture of collaboration encourages the sharing of ideas and best practice. We work collaboratively across our family of schools to develop our approach to unlocking academic and personal potential, which is grounded in research and informed by impactful practice.
We deliver impactful and sustainable school improvement to ensure that every student is educated in a high performing school. This unlocks academic and personal potential and develops great learners and great people.
Our approach to career development and continuous professional learning is nationally-recognised. It develops inspiring, research informed staff and provides excellent progression opportunities. Staff can utilise their talents in trust-wide roles and build their skills through access to national experts, research and best practice.
Students benefit from opportunities that enable them to unlock their academic and personal potential and make a difference in their communities and the world. This includes collaborative trust-wide activities, such as the Student Senate, WAT Games, WAT Choir and Dance Festivals, and school enrichment and civic engagement.
Our professional services team provides outstanding expertise and support, allowing schools to focus on teaching and learning.
We are committed to leaving the world in a better place for future generations and aim to be net zero by 2030. Almost £4m has been invested in sustainability improvements through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, and we are embedding sustainable practice across everything that we do. Everyone in the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ family is empowered to influence and make change.
We understand that joining a school trust is a big decision.
Before joining, there are many things to consider to ensure your school gains maximum benefit and becomes part of a school trust whose vision and values align with your school's.
Research has shown the considerable benefits of being part of a school trust, and greater collaboration, improved outcomes for students, and enhanced continuous professional learning are just a few reasons schools choose to join.
Our family has been developed from converters, sponsors, single academy trusts and new schools, and we offer extensive support to ensure a smooth transition.
